Information about Connor
I am currently in my fourth year of Medicine at Kings College London. I have also just completed a Bachelor of Science in Imaging Sciences alongside my medical degree. I love the science, the person-to-person interactions and the life-long learning associated with a medical career.
The academic demands of applying to medicine are high, and as such I had to develop a strong work ethic as well as revision and exam techniques.
I successfully studied Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at A-Level. I scored 817.5 in the UKCAT (now UCAT), putting me in the top 1% of medical school applicants.
I freelance as a science tutor and run science clubs in various London schools.
I used tutors throughout my final year of college, mainly for help with my Biology and Chemistry coursework. I found the help of my tutors invaluable, and without it I dont believe I would have achieved the same grades.
Feel free to bring as many questions as you must to each of our tutorials, we will work through how to approach exam questions, how to understand what questions are asking and how to structure your written answers.
I would be happy to work on personal statements and university applications of all perspective students, as I believe I have a good understanding of what universities, medical schools particularly, are looking for and will be able to help you to create a successful application.
I am also very happy to discuss GCSE, A Level and university coursework.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have tutored online for a number of years now, finding that online tuition is more powerful than in-person tutoring for three reasons: It removes the time and energy wasted in commuting for either party, it allows for better sharing of content and information through screen sharing and virtual whiteboards, and it can be adapted into any schedule.
For the past year I have run school science lessons and clubs, hosted week-long science camps and given online webinars to hundreds of students.
I have years of experience tutoring, including students ages four to university level. I also have an extensive background in peer-to-peer teaching at an undergraduate degree level.
