I am a dedicated educator who believes every child can succeed, and as your tutor I will personalize every session to your Childs individual learning needs. I am an experienced, qualified Mathematics Teacher, holding both a PGCE and QTS. I have worked in various different environments and have supported a range of different age groups succeed in mathematics. Prior to teaching, I spent 3 years studying Mathematics at University and now hold a Mathematics Degree. During my studies and for a year after I worked as a teaching assistant working particularly with children with specific learning needs as well as tutoring young people privately.
I believe that no child is the same and I teach in a way that shadows that belief. I adapt my style of teaching to the needs of the child I am tutoring. I aim to engage children in their learning of mathematics, through their interests and ensure they have a greater understanding of why, without over complicating a theory or method. During tuition I ensure that I am meeting the gaps in knowledge of your child through use of formal and informal learning. Whether this be practice activities or through use of game. I will choose a suitable method to ensure your child is making the utmost progress that they can in the allotted time.
