In a tutoring lesson, we will work through some questions, establishing the rules which need followed and making sense of these rules. There will be some points which you haven’t quite understood from your teacher in school or college, and it is my job to spot these gaps and explain them differently. However mostly it’s all about restoring your confidence in your own ability.
Inevitably there is a sticking point which comes to light and which may have been the root of various issues in Maths understanding over some years and once we get that sorted then multiple topics become more straightforward. It is these sucking points for which tutoring is exceptionally helpful.
I particularly enjoy working with A level students who are keen to achieve a top grade. You present the greatest challenge - but if you are prepared to work hard, you will achieve well and I have been thrilled to be able to facilitate that journey to better understanding over the past 6 years.
I will also enjoy working with those who are studying GCSE Maths and Further Maths. I am a GCSE maths examiner and so have a clear understanding of where marks are gained and more importantly lost!

Availability: I am available Monday to Thursday and some other times.

I have over 30 years of experience and have taught all levels and abilities in Maths in secondary and further education and I enjoy tutoring students who are struggling to cope or just keep up. I am happy to help with GCSE (Maths and Further Maths) and A`level.
