Information about Alison
I am a former secondary school languages teacher offering online tuition (via Skype or Zoom) in Italian and Spanish, (all levels including GCSE and A-Level), French for holidays and English as a Foreign Language. I have experience tutoring other subjects particularly Maths, English, Science and Humanities - up to Key Stage 3.
I teach students of all ages, from primary school children to pensioners.
Any student who engages me as a tutor can expect their lessons to be tailored to their needs and objectives. Therefore, I am currently working with a business owner who wishes to focus on business-related French, a 14-year old boy who will be taking his Spanish GCSE next year, a Spanish lady who needs to improve her English for work purposes, and with another lady, who very much enjoys poetry, I am reading an anthology of Italian poetry.
My students appreciate the fact that I have a very strong academic background and also UK qualified teacher status.
They also appreciate that masks are not needed in our lessons since we are working online.
I charge £30 per hour unless the lesson is for exam preparation (GCSEs and A Levels) in which case I charge £35 per hour.
The first lesson with a student is always free of charge.
My students usually buy two or three books to use during our lessons. The books I suggest depend very much on their previous knowledge of the language.
If you were to consider taking online lessons, using Zoom or Skype, then I would be very pleased to be your tutor.
