Information about David
I am local to St Andrews and was educated at Madras College (1985) and then at University of St Andrews (BSc with Honours, 1989). After a career elsewhere, I am now training to become a secondary teacher and am currently on placement at a school in Fife. I am a PVG Scheme member.
Availability: Some availability on weeknight evenings and at weekends, with flexible times to suit teenagers` busy lives. Rates from £30/hour, plus travel costs if outside St Andrews.

Experience: I am now in my tenth year doing tuition in the St Andrews (Madras College catchment) area. I concentrate on the core subjects of Maths and Chemistry, but I can also offer more general support with a variety of other SQA subjects including other Sciences, Computing Science, and Geography. I worked initially with children of friends and colleagues, then taking on new pupils as former pupils moved away to university.

David is knowledgable in multiple subjects and when he takes on a student, he is committing to help the whole family in whatever way he can. Though he is tutoring our two oldest he has helped with IT and computing issues with our next oldest and sourcing a adaptor for our piano for the 10 year old. He is never short on advice, but will be clear if any topic is out of his comfort zone.
