Hello, my name is Beth and I am an enthusiastic, experienced and outstanding Early Years and Key Stage One teacher, who is committed to raise educational achievement by setting high expectations of all pupils. As well as being a qualified Primary School Teacher of six years, I am a trained Nursery Nurse and have a range of experience supporting children with special educational needs, in particular regards to children with speech and language difficulties. I am very interested in tutoring as I am aware of the impact COVID lockdown measures have had on so many children. I am dedicated in personalising learning for each child, helping children progress and providing positive learning experiences for every child.

I specialise in Early Years and Key Stage One, however I have experience working with children up to Year 6. I thoroughly enjoy teaching phonics and am trained in teaching Letters and Sounds, Jolly Phonics and Read Write Inc. I enjoy teaching maths and have experience in teaching White Rose Maths and Maths No Problem. During a recent OFSTED inspection, I was acknowledged in a report as someone with `a very good understanding of children’s skills and adapts work well to meet their needs and interests` and is `adept at recognising children’s interests and using them to stimulate learning.` I also enjoy using technology as a tool to support teaching and engage and motivate learning. I recognise the role of ICT as an alternative mode for children to express themselves.
