Information about Nuala
I am a highly driven, passionate and friendly graduate from The London School of Economics with a First Class Honours Degree in International History. Having graduated last summer, my practical knowledge regarding formal academic work remains fresh, as does my passion for the rigorous academic landscape of university, something my tutoring sessions distinctly reflect.
I am currently working as a Teaching Assistant, namely in a 1:1 context with children with additional support needs, a role which reflects my personal investment in eliciting from children their full potential. I am happy to assemble a unique tutoring program tailored to your childs individual requirements and learning style, equipping them with the tools to analyse, contextualise and construct effective arguments, all within a nurturing, judgement-free environment. I am happy to provide evidence of your childs individual progress and offer availability outside of the tutoring sessions for any queries your child may have regarding their studies.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch, whether you are concerned about the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic on your childs education, or you simply believe your child would benefit from this kind of direct engagement that a broader classroom so often fails to provide.
Enhanced DBS check certificate available upon request.
Availability: I am available at any time of day until the 11th August, from which I am available Mon-Thurs after 4pm, Fridays after 2pm and weekends.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I work on a daily basis with children with social, emotional and learning difficulties, including ASD and dyslexia, which requires me to both exercise sensitivity and adapt activities to the needs of individual children. I have also spent three months teaching English to children ages 4-18 in a school in New Delhi, India.
