Information about Alice
I grew up in Mid Wales where I completed my A levels before graduating from University of Birmingham with a degree in Biochemistry. I have graduated Keele University with a degree in Medicine and am currently working as a junior doctor.
Outside of studying I enjoy the outdoor activities such as kayaking.
I also offer help with applying to medicine and related healthcare professions, this involves personal statements, helping with opportunities to improve experience, UKCAT/BMAT examinations and interview skills for both panel and multiple mini interviews.
Availability: Evenings and weekends.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Last year I toured around the UK teaching anatomy and biological processes to the general public, nurses and other healthcare professionals as part of Anatomy Lab Live show. With the same company I have taught large groups of 10-18 year old children within schools across the UK, this consisted mainly of human biology however there were various elements of maths also involved. I organised and taught the Operating Theatre National Event in which students interested in pursuing a career in Medicine could learn practical elements of application processes, anatomy and basic assessment of patients.
In 2013 I taught English in summer camps across Italy. These were 1-2 week programmes for children aged between 5-16 years old.
