Information about Yasamin
I am a software engineer and I hold a first class degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from King`s college London. As a programmer, logical thinking and problem solving is my domain, and I find that my computational expertise complements my pure mathematical skills nicely. I personally specialise in these subjects as I find great satisfaction in complex problem solving, and I love to help others in developing this skill. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, with students ranging from KS1 to A-Level, and my students have consistently shown improved grades after my sessions throughout the years.
In my lessons, I approach each session by giving the student a clear and concise explanation of the topic and then going through different annotated examples step-by-step, gradually increasing the difficulty of each question as I go along. After each example, I give the student some questions to solve independently in order to ensure that they have gained full understanding of the necessary approach, however I give them guidance whenever they need it.
Given a student who will be taking exams, I always go through the mark scheme with them thoroughly in order to ensure that the student knows what the examiner would be looking for in their solutions and how to achieve the maximum marks possible. The exam boards that I have previously tutored for include AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC.

Experience: I have tutored many different students, from KS1 level onwards up to and including GCSE and A-levels. I approach each topic by giving a clear and concise explanation and then going through different annotated examples step-by-step with the student, gradually increasing the difficulty as I go along. After each example, I give the student a some questions to complete in order to really ensure that they develop their problem-solving skills and that they can do it independently, however I give them guidance whenever they need it and give tips for what the examiner would want and how to achieve the maximum marks. In Maths, I find that repeatedly completing questions is the best way to gain a full understanding of the topic.
