Information about Gilad
I hold a PhD from the University of Oxford in Physics and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a First Class Masters Degree in Physics specialising in Mathematical Physics in 2015.
I am a very approachable and friendly person and in my spare time, I like to row, play football, squash and go to the gym.
Availability: Most evenings I will be free after 5 pm. However this is flexible depending on situation.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have over 10 years of tutoring experience in the Oxford/London area. I can tutor Maths, Physics and Further Maths at both GCSE and A-Level.
Before the Covid-19 I was tutoring up to 10 hours a week across varying levels of Maths and Physics. I can accommodate for both online tutoring and face to face. I would prefer face to face, however have been tutoring via online platforms over the summer.
During my years of tutoring, I have had a very successful track record. Out of the 20+ students I have tutored all have attained their desired improved grade or better and have all successfully moved onto the University of their choice.
I believe in a teaching approach that is both encouraging and disciplined. I believe that the concepts in maths and physics must be understood on a fundamental level first and then questions on the subject are used to really test the students understanding.
I encourage all my students with extra questions, good exam techniques and general discussions on the their overall understanding of the material.

Gilad worked with our daughter on some areas of A-level. She found him hugely enthusiastic about teaching and keen to make sure that she understood the content. It`s hard to underestimate the value of a teacher who communicates in that way. That was motivating for her and encouraged her own self-study efforts as well. While he occasionally took a little more time to get a handle on certain problems or questions (which should improve the more familiar he becomes with the syllabus) she found that working through them together helped embed the knowledge more securely and that his explanations were always clear.

Gilad is friendly, approachable and punctual and has subject knowledge. We couldn`t continue with him unfortunately because my daughter needed someone who was very experienced with the IB Physics curriculum and exam techniques urgently as her exams are in a few weeks. I wish him all the best.

Explains major concepts very well. Gilad always ensures I have understood the topic we covered in class in depth before the lesson ends.
