I am a Loughborough University Graduate tutoring English Literature and Language to young people ages 8-16. I offer lessons both in person and remotely. I am a friendly and enthusiastic tutor with a calm and positive approach to teaching.

For Key Stage 4 learners I have an advanced understanding of literature and language and provide support with reading Shakespeare plays, 19th-21st Century texts and Poetry. I work on building the pupils confidence in critical evaluation and comparative essays and will help the pupil in their organisation of ideas to provide coherence, consistency and clarity.

For Key Stage 3 learners I will introduce the concepts listed above in a fun and accessible way. I teach pupils to adapt their language for a range of contexts and become confident in their abilities to write with proper sentence structure and begin to extend their vocabulary.

I also work with students to bridge the gap between GCSE and A-Level.

I adapt my teaching for every pupil, looking at their strengths and weaknesses and what is required of them from the National Curriculum.

Experience: I have previous experience tutoring GCSE English Literature. I helped the student build confidence in her abilities to write critical analysis of fiction texts, reading and analysing Shakespeare as well as poetry to achieve a level 8.

I have experience in mentoring throughout university as the Peer-Mentor Student Co-ordinator for Loughborough School of Arts.
