Information about Michelle
My name is Michelle . I am an enthusiastic, friendly and an approachable individual with over a decade of experience as a Teaching Assistant (since 2011). I currently work in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted in Surrey. My extensive experience spans both mainstream education and in special needs base setting. I am passionate about helping students develop their skills and contributing to their overall growth. I firmly believe in supporting the social and emotional aspects of learning to ensure pupils development and academic success.
I lead school-led tutoring groups to support Year 6 pupils in preparing for their SATs. My ability to adapt resources to meet the needs of individual learners is a key strength. I use various methods such as visual demonstrations for abstract concepts, flashcards for reading/ phonics, mind maps for recapping and revision and targeted strategies to develop reading and writing skills.
I hold a Level 3 NVQ, have completed the National Tutoring Programme and have received Emotional Literacy Support training which I completed in 2011. These qualifications enable me to support pupils, teachers and other professionals using a constructive approach effectively and efficiently.
I am dedicated to promoting pupils` self-esteem and confidence, fostering an environment where they can learn and develop. By starting at their current level and gradually challenging them, I aim to push them towards greater achievements.
I am available to tutor primary school pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 and look forward to helping each student reach their full potential.
