After graduating with an MPhys in physics at the University of Oxford and completing a PhD from Northwestern University in graphene nanotechnolgy during which time I worked extensively teaching and helping students in introductory physics classes, I have been working at a machine learning startup company.

My general tutoring style is to look at the problems that the student has been having, and then fill in the gaps in the student`s knowledge or methodology so that they are better able to approach questions with less assistance in future. I like to focus on first principles so that the student develops a deep understanding of the key concepts that will help them for life, in addition to helping them pass the examination they are studying for.

I`m happy to help with school examinations, GCSE A-level, or university entrance tests , having myself been through them, and since being involved in science and maths day to day.

Physics 135: Introductory Physics: Conducted lab sections and office hours with students, and graded papers. Some tutoring.
Material covered was :
• Classical mechanics
• Electromagnetism, electrostatics, circuits
• Modern Physics, Diffraction, atomic spectra
ME 340-2: Introduction to Manufacturing:
• Supervised labs, and taught the structure of parametric modelling using Unigraphics / Siemens NX
• Assisted students designing parts appropriate for injection moulding.
