I am a PGCE-qualified language teacher, specialising in GCSE and National 5 French and Spanish as well as the IELTS and Cambridge exams. Over the past ten years, I have helped hundreds of students improve their language skills and pass their exams. I am available Monday-Friday afternoons for online classes.

A firm believer that teachers should themselves never stop learning, I have never stopped learning languages. I`ve reached a conversational level in German, Italian and Portuguese, and am currently working on teaching myself Ukrainian. My own learning experience shapes my teaching, allowing me to better understand the cognitive challenges that my students are presented with in their learning.

Availability: My teaching hours are from 3.30 onwards, Monday-Friday.

Experience: I have been a qualified teacher since 2012, in which time I have worked in language schools in England, Spain and Scotland. I have worked in private English language schools in London, Edinburgh and Spain, where I was responsible for delivering high-quality lessons and creating and updating curricula. I have also worked as a secondary teacher of French and Spanish. Over my career, I have helped hundreds of people pass their GCSE, National 5, IELTS and Cambridge exams.

My lessons are based around building a core repertoire of language, which we recycle and build upon in every lesson. This allows for continuous practice of the basics and also allows us to integrate newly-learned language with what the student already knows. For exam students, we always apply this growing repertoire to listening, reading, writing and speaking exam contexts; for those who are looking to improve their language skills for life, we apply our growing knowledge to contexts which will be most relevant to the student`s needs.
