Availability: I am available from morning to evening on Mondays. On weekends, I am available on Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon. During the week, due to my commitments as a teacher I have limited availability.

Experience: I am a qualified teacher of Chinese Mandarin with over 16 years teaching experience committed to, and competent in teaching Mandarin up to GCSE , AS, A-level, Pre-U, ISEB and HSK 6 Level. Holding QTS(Qualified Teacher Status) both in the UK and in China with a degree in Teaching Chinese Mandarin as a foreign language makes me a very professional teacher in the subject. I worked as Head of Mandarin in a grammar school in Kent and I currently work in a local private school in Oxfordshire. Outside of school, I am an AS/A-level senior examiner and an IGCSE examiner. I am familiar with all exam boards and the current specifications including AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge International Education. I introduced Mandarin teaching methods to my Mandarin department and I support the whole Mandarin department to achieve fantastic grades in GCSE and A-level. For instance, In 2022, all Year 11 students at school got 100% grade 7 to 9 in Mandarin GCSE and 100% A to A* in A-Level. I teach HSK3 Chinese qualification extracurricular classes with a 87.5% pass rate in 2021 which was 44.5 percentage points higher than national Mandarin Excellence Programme(DfE Mandarin programme) schools’ pass rate in the UK, and a 90% pass rate in 2020 which was 20 percentage points higher than national MEP schools’ pass rate in the UK. I also taught extra-curricular DfE Mandarin Excellence Programme and supported students to achieve the highest average scores across 4 skills in the MEP national hurdle exam in the UK in 2017, 2018 and 2019. I am passionate about helping students and all people to learn Mandarin and achieve their potential.
