Hi, Im a native German speaker, qualified teacher and also a climbing instructor! I enjoy helping people to discover and develop their full personal potential. Im best at tutoring GCSE, A-Level or more mature students who are proactive learners and are not afraid of having simple or more complex conversations in German.
I consider myself to be a learner centered and fun teacher as I believe that the students needs are always priority and no lesson is more effective than a lesson where we can also have a giggle!
Availability: Im mainly available in the evenings but occasionally also throughout the day as I am self-employed.
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: Since 2007, I have worked with people of all abilities, from various backgrounds and in very different settings. I have worked with Primary and Secondary Schools, SEN, young offenders and mature students. From conventional classrooms to PRUs to outdoor lecture theatres to big mountains. I hold a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages and a range of qualifications that allow me to facilitate goal orientated educational and skills sessions in an outdoor environment. I practice a more non-conventional style of teaching that puts the learner first, rather than the content. This is to ensure that every lesson can be as effective as possible and real learning takes place.

I really enjoyed refreshing my schoolboy German with this tutor ( and learning a lot of new vocabulary) he has a relaxed style but challenges you to make the time and cost worthwhile. He listens to your needs and presents learning tailored to those needs. And for me it was fun and interesting and I would highly recommend him. I learned some really useful things from Hannes and my recent trip to the alps was enhanced because of the time I spent studying with him beforehand.
Tutors Response :
Thanks a lot Christopher! I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations too. And I learnt a little about hunting as well haha! Good to have met you. All the best and kind regards, Hannes.
