Information about Karen
I tutor 13-18 year olds who would like some extra help with their KS3 and GCSE 9-1 Maths, different areas of Mathematics or to be successful in their exams. I have a 2:1 BSc (Honours) in Mathematics degree and have a passion for Maths. My aim is to inspire children to not only to succeed and do well in examinations, but to gain or develop an enjoyment of Maths.
I am patient, take time to explain and have achieved a high level of success. As a mum of two grown up children I communicate well with the 13-18 age group.
Availability: Weekdays after school, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: Whilst running a family home with two, now grown up children, I had been working professionally in a business environment and during that time I studied with the Open University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Mathematics Honours degree (2:1). During that time and subsequently, I have successfully tutored several students through KS3 and KS4 GCSE mathematics examinations with excellent results.

Karen is really lovely. She goes that extra mile to please. She has been teaching my DD For a weeks now and is very patient with her. She really knows her stuff. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Really easy to find local tutor on the site and three sessions in we are very happy with Karen. She is extremely professional and seems to have all the qualifications and personal attributes to make an excellent tutor for our son.

It was a pleasure to engage Karen as a tutor for my son at such a short notice to help him with his maths exam :-) she was pleasant accommodating and generally very helpful not only to me but my son and improved his standards in such a short time ! I would not hesitate to engage her services again if the need arises
