I have a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford and I am offering tuition in A-level geography.
My approach can be adapted to the needs of the tutee regardless of ability. I offer:
• Help with essay writing and exam techniques.
• Advice on revision techniques and planning.
• Help with understanding the core syllabus.
• More advanced in-depth work on geographical topics as well as big picture discussions on how the various topics are interrelated.
• Early preparation for degree course geography and help with adapting to the style of teaching at university.
• Interview preparation and practice interviews for university applications.

Experience: I am passionate about geography and education. I believe a rounded education in geography is vital in today’s globalised world and can be useful in a multitude of careers. Personally I pursued a career in the city after university, working for the Japan Bank for International Cooperation. This is a branch of the Japanese government and my role, whilst varied, was to monitor economic and geopolitical developments in sub-Saharan Africa, and subsequently the Middle East and Central Asia, focusing heavily on the extractive industries and international development. The breadth of education I received from studying geography helped me in what was such a varied and demanding job and it is something I am passionate about offering to another generation.
I have some experience in tutoring, having successfully tutored a number of A-level candidates over the past two years. I have also been involved in looking after candidates for Oxford interviews as well as helping prepare a successful candidate for a Cambridge interview so have some experience of the process, outside of simply being through it myself.
