Information about Eva
I am a friendly and inspiring tutor with years of experience in both classroom teaching and private tutoring. I get results fast whether for exam preparation or long term understanding.
If you feel you have been left behind, have some gaps in your knowledge you want to fill, or want to go deeper into the subject, I can help you.
Availability: I have availability throughout the week, weekends and during holidays, for more specific times please contact me.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have been tutoring since 1997 and have also taught in government schools and in a private school. I believe that with very few exceptions all children can do well in and enjoy maths. The many reasons they don`t do well in a class room setting range from nerves to believing they can`t. Once they see for themselves that they can, their learning will take off and they will progress rapidly. My job consists largely of instilling confidence and awakening curiosity.
I know kids are confident when they are no longer worried about making mistakes, they are willing to challenge themselves and me. When finding out the truth is more important than looking good.
I base lessons on the needs of each individual student, and prefer to bring the knowledge out of a child rather than lecturing them. Let them discover things for themselves, with a bit of guidance. This lets them love what they are doing.

Lovely teacher. My son felt more confident after the lesson.

Dr Eva`s depth/breadth of knowledge is evident in her lessons. She is an excellent teacher. She has helped my son with statistics, de-mystifying the topics. Many good math teachers struggle with explaining statistics. It is clear that she would be great with core math as well.
