Hello!

My name is Mel and I specialise in English Language and Literature tuition for Year 10-13 students who are studying GCSEs, A-Levels, International Baccalaureate or Oxbridge entrance. I also offer Maths GCSE tuition and practice. Additionally, I am able to offer study skills and organisation/preparation sessions which have been found useful when learning has been so disrupted in the past year.

I am an empathetic and kind tutor who believes that talking through the interesting problems, approaching the problem from different angles and putting your own spin on things can provide the way to unlock a subject. I tutor by offering tailored guidance on how to easily work on improvement areas in the run-up to exams and how to build strengths in key areas.

Unfortunately, I don`t tutor 11+ or KS3 anymore but please do contact me if you are in Year 9 and looking for GCSE acceleration.

Availability: In-person or Zoom availability for Year 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 students only.

Available in the evenings after 6.30pm and on Saturdays/Sundays.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: Recent University of Oxford graduate - BA English Language and Literature.

Previously studied the International Baccalaureate and GCSEs at Newstead Wood School, Orpington where I was also Head Student.

My recent students have attained entrance to Oxford University and Exeter University. I have also tutored students from E to A* grades.
