I’ve always absolutely loved performing - I started off in acting and musical theatre when I was eight, before taking up a music and drama scholarship at Millfield School. It was here that I decided to pursue a career in classical singing. Upon leaving school, I went to study Opera and Classical Singing on a scholarship at the Royal Northern College of Music gaining a Bachelor’s of Music 1st Class (hons), and a Master’s of Music.

I have performed both in the UK and abroad singing roles with companies such as Opera Holland Park, Wexford Festival Opera and Into Opera, all while continuing to spread my love of singing through teaching.

I currently divide my time between London, for my opera singing work, and Yeovil, because I’m a military wife! With a 100% pass rate in ABRSM and Trinity examinations, I have taught singing for nearly a decade and work with students of all ages and standards. Whether classical, musical theatre, pop or opera, singing lessons with me can involve anything from Mamma Mia to Mozart.

Experience: I have lots of experience working with all ages and abilities in singing teaching, both privately and in schools.

I am very enthusiastic and have a positive, can-do attitude in all I do. My main lesson aims include making the session fun and enjoyable, developing your ability, and improving your confidence through performance. I present clear attainment goals and tailor each lesson to the individual. I have prepared students for ABRSM and Trinity exams with 100% success rate and I pride myself on my ability to build a strong rapport with my students, all while maintaining a stress-free and relaxed environment!
I teach beginner to advanced level and encourage my students to build a solid singing technique, whatever genre and style. Some of the things we will focus on include: breathing and support, stance and posture, expression and performance, foreign languages, audition technique, and examination preparation.
