Information about Aditya
My tutoring approach is very different to what other tutors offer. As a student at Imperial College, we utilise flipped classroom, which is statistically proven to be the most efficient form of learning. This is why my degree of study, biomedical science, is not taught with any traditional lectures. The way I have been tutoring for the last two years has been utilising this form of active learning. I will set my student pre-reading and the whole of our lesson will be applicative based using real life examples and questions to consolidate key concepts. My focus is on a deep conceptual understanding rather than just learning all of the facts. I predominantly focus on chemistry and biology.
Availability: I am available Monday evenings.
I am available all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
I am available on weekends.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have been tutoring for the last two years and my clients have been mainly A level Chemistry or Biology. I have patience and empathy and ultimately I want my students to fulfil their potential. The best way to do this is to use probing questions to lead them down a journey of self revelation, which is guaranteed to retain knowledge far better than me just telling the answer outright. I take a pastoral role with my tutees too, giving them relevant advice on university applications and careers.
