After completing a pure maths degree at the University of Liverpool, I went on to do a PGCE in primary education.

I love teaching everything but maths is my favourite. I like to make it practical so children really understand what they are doing before they move into more abstract working out.

I worked in the same school for 15 years from Year 1-4 and was maths lead for the whole school for 13 years. In this time I did lots of training, not just in maths.

I’ve worked with children from all different backgrounds, religions, languages and needs and take pride in helping them to learn to the best of their ability.
