Hi! I`m Jamie, and I`m training to be a secondary school maths teacher.
I have been trained in effective planning, teaching methods and in the science of learning, to ensure that my pupils learn as much as possible in the shortest amount of time. I have studied the teaching of maths and have learned how best to approach a wide range of misconceptions and common difficulties.
Having graduated last year in Russian & Czech (with Slovak) with a First from Oxford, I have not only developed a firm grasp in Slavic languages and their cultures, but I have also honed my skills in English through reading dense, academic texts and writing weekly essays.
I have lots of experience teaching young people, including teaching Maths and English GCSE, English as a foreign language, 11+ entrance tests, and beginner`s music.
