I am a history tutor currently available to tutor all levels from school entry examination to university.

I am available to tutor online between 5pm and 10pm and in person in the Salisbury area.

I offer not only a thorough, comprehensive and easy to understand breakdown on historical subjects and periods but also I will instruct students on how to correctly out across this information in a structured and coherent manner. Having only dropped 5 UMS marks across my entire history A - level I understand how to prepare for and write examination papers.

Similarly I can instruct on how to write a strong essay which is both factually relevant and presents a clear an coherent argument. Both of these are fundamental to scoring high in history.

I received 86% in my university dissertation which has now been published and can instruct students to a very high level of understanding.

Furthermore capable of making history exciting and accessible to young students. I can draw out the characters and stories from dry dates and old books and really get students enthused about the story behind it!

I always try and leave my students not just passing an entrance exam but with knowledge for life, an understanding of how the past reflects on us now and always always always one good historical novel to read (the very tool that first struck my passion in academic history)

Whilst I personally have specialised academically in the British civil wars, French Revolution, the world wars, the Cold War and early modern Europe I have a comprehensive knowledge of all time periods from medieval to modern. Please feel free to enquire about any specific subjects.
