Teddy

I`m a passionate and experienced linguist, with love and understanding of language and teaching. I took French and Spanish up to A Level but only enjoyed the process and learned the building blocks of these languages through exposure to fluent speakers and native media. Spending time in both France and Spain, and other stays in Europe and Japan, has given me an enjoyment of life and communication through both language and art, both of which I dedicate a lot of time to sharing with others.
I share a range of recent syllabus exercises and resources with my students, with native media and lots of exercises and projects that I`ve created. I`ve got a good knowledge of Francophone and Hispanic culture and current affairs, and a recent and thorough understanding of exam structure, revision and method.
Other than teaching languages, I`m a multimedia artist, musician and axe-throwing instructor with a wide range of interests.

Availability: At the moment I`m free Tuesday-Thursday evenings and late morning, and variably Friday through Monday. Any time of day works for me, and I do have a flexible schedule.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I tutor adults, children and primary/secondary students from scratch or to their needs/syllabus. My main experience is in teaching adults over the past two years, which requires a lot of creativity and tenacity to break through their assumptions. I have also done conversation lessons with young people, and volunteered as a language assistant with an arts-based Children in Need project.
I have experience teaching dyslexic students, and experience with ADHD, ALDD and neuro-atypical students.
