Information about Ethan
Male Biology Secondary School Teacher currently working full time at Bablake and King Henrys Secondary School with 11 classes, from Year 7 up to Year 12. I studied a-level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at Finham Sixth Form, and got ABB, A in Biology. Then went on to study and graduate with a high 2:1 in Medical Biochemistry at the University of Huddersfield. I`ve then went on to do Research with a PhD student at Manchester Metropolitan University on Forensics. I then worked as a Support Worker for a year for SENAD in Coventry, working with people with brain injuries. I then entered into my career of teaching Science in secondary schools, I started off as a HLTA in the Science Department at Nicholas Chamberlaine School in Bedworth. I continued to do PGCE at Nico and also through President Kennedy, then went to Barr`s Hill to complete my NQT. I finished my third year as a teacher (RQT year) at Ashlawn Secondary School in Rugby, and now currently work at Bablake and King Henrys school.
Availability: Saturday morning and afternoon are my preferable times for tutoring
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have been teaching Science for over 5 years, in September I`ll be starting my second academic year teaching at Bablake and King Henry School, after teaching Biology this year. This year I have had the responsibility of teaching a Year 7 Class Biology, 2 x Year 8, 2 x Year 9, 3 x Year 10, 1 x Year 11, and 2 Year 12 classes.
I work very hard to make my lessons interesting, clear, and productive. I like to think I do a good job of breaking topics down into smaller accessible steps, that students can understand easily, and I like to think after teaching Science for so many years, my subject knowledge is very strong, so I can answer all questions related to different subtopics.
Feedback from students have always generally been that they find my lessons very useful, and also I like to think I`m very friendly, and easy to discuss Scientific concepts with, and can help with all subtopics. I have also taught every subtopic except for certain subtopics at the end of the syllabus for Year 13.
I also got a high mark in my Medical Biochemistry degree, with a high 2:1 and firsts in my final year exams, and got a high A in A-Level Biology, so like to think I have a good mind for how to get high scores.
When approaching a topic I`ll ensure I look at the specification and syllabus (whether its AQA, Edexcel or OCR) think how to explain the different concepts, and use summary questions and build up to modelling how to answer exam style questions based on the topic.
This method has given students I teach high grades so far and will continue to keep improving my teacher practice to ensure I explain topics to the best of my ability.

Extremely unreliable , very bad with time keeping, excuses after excuses. Cancels the lesson at the last minute and disrupt your plans for the day. Not mindful of the needs of student and their family very selfish about his own plans for the day.Surprise how he is working in an independent school. I wouldnt recommend this tutor to anyone who is serious about their childs education.
