I am an ex-Head of Science who has been teaching and tutoring for over 10 years. My students have achieved excellent results including improvements of multiple grades within just one year.

I get a huge satisfaction from helping students feel confident in understanding and applying Scientific principles but also understand the need for excellent exam results. Whilst using creative teaching methods to stretch and challenge my students, my approach also focuses on breaking down a syllabus in to manageable chunks.

Availability: I have availability to take on a small number of students.

Experience: Having been a Head of Science for 4 years I have excellent knowledge of all exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR) which I utilize to help students in both exam technique and subject matter.

I focus my tutoring around the needs of the student to ensure that sessions are tailored. I work primarily with students from years 9 to 13 (ages 14 to 19), with specific experience in GCSE and A level examinations. I am able to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics to GCSE and Biology to A level.

I gained my degree from the University of Manchester in Biotechnology and my MRes in Business from Manchester Business School and my PGCE from Kings College London.

Outside of work I enjoy walking my dog and going to the gym.
