I am an enthusiastic, personable and knowledgable tutor based in Hitchin with an expertise in preparing Year 5 and 6 children for their upcoming SATs examinations. I have a wealth of experience particularly with children who have additional learning needs or for whom English is a second language. I recently received a diploma through the National Tutoring Programme and use well-known pedagogical techniques, acquired whilst working at primary schools, in order to empower children to reach their full potential.

Availability: I am available week mornings, afternoons and after school.

Experience: I have worked at a Hertfordshire primary school for the past three years as a HLTA and cover teacher in both KS1 and KS2. I ran daily tailored small group sessions for students in Reading, GPS and Mathematics in preparation for their SATs examinations. I have a wealth of experience with SEN and EAL students and can differentiate work accordingly to help those children achieve their potential.
I have received a diploma from the National Tutoring Programme and conducted weekly tutoring sessions for SATs preparation.
Over the past three years, my small group students, who were previously working at a `Working Towards` level, all achieved Expected Standard in either their final Reading or Mathematics SATs results.
I also worked at a boarding school in Hertfordshire as a housemistress and KS3 Drama teacher from 2018-2019.
