Oliver

My name is Oli and I`m a 25 year old architecture student based in London. In 2017 I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a first-class bachelors degree, and was awarded the RIBA Eastern prize for the best overall grade in the year. Since then, I have worked for architecture practices in both London and Antwerp (Belgium). Following that, I went on to complete one year of my masters at the Accademia di Architettura, Mendrisio in Switzerland and will be continuing my masters this coming October in London.

Availability: I am available and very flexible during this time.

Experience: I am passionate about education and volunteered as a leader on educational summer camps for children and teenagers from 2011-2016. I also taught weekly at my local Sunday school from the ages of 14-18. My work as a teacher and volunteer helped me to develop a series of creative teaching methodologies to keep participants engaged. As well as more traditional written teaching styles, I, myself, have benefited from more innovative visual and auditory educational experiences and feel confident in my ability to use such methods in helping others achieve their academic goals.

I understand that the pace and fixed format of school education might not suit everybody`s needs, and am aware that tutoring offers an opportunity for students to engage in subjects in a less formal, one-on-one environment. I firmly believe that education does not need to be dry, and feel passionate about empowering students to engage more productively in the subjects in which they are perhaps not so confident.

My passions are architecture and art, but I also love languages. While I offer lessons based on school curriculums, I am more than happy to create specialised lesson plans in order to help students achieve their personal academic goals.

University admission coaching for architecture and art applicants, including personal statement advice and interview practice.
Degree tutoring for architecture bachelors students.
