I am a graduate math teacher and I trained with the University of Birmingham. I have taught Mathematics at KS3, 4, AS, and A-level for over ten years. I am a fully qualified and practicing math teacher and tutor with a good DBS record. I am available for evening and weekend tutoring (please contact me for availability).
Furthermore, I have undertaken a Master`s level research into Mathematics attainment with a particular focus on mathematics problem-solving. The research led to gaining a wider understanding of why students find assessment objective 2 and 3 problems difficult, and how to support students in developing their understanding and improving their opportunities of attaining more marks. 

I offer friendly and relaxed classes, either individually or in groups, that are adapted to the student`s learning needs. I am patient and enjoy supporting students in developing their understanding, comprehension, application and retention of mathematics concepts to problem-solving which is an essential component of mathematics assessment in GCSE assessment objectives 2 and 3. It is my desire, and I have assisted pupils in achieving exceptional achievements grades at GCSE and A-level.

I use a variety of teaching strategies to assist students of various learning abilities and prior attainment. The variety of teaching strategies help in developing students` understanding of concepts, aid knowledge retention and memory. 

I teach students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups online using interactive software which allows me to model examples but allows students to write on the screen, this allows me to see when students are trying questions and enables me to understand how students are solving the problems, identify where they might be making mistakes so that they can be addressed appropriately.

As an examiner, I weave knowledge taught into exam-style questions, advising students on how to optimize achievement while also addressing how pupils gain and lose marks.

I have presently provided over 500 online classes to students at the GCSE, AS, A-level, and Further Mathematics levels.
