Hi, I am a piano teacher with coming on to 13 years experience in teaching all ages and abilities. I am based in Minchinhampton just outside Stroud.

I tailor lessons around the students needs. I have a 100% pass rate with the students I teach and enter into the ABRSM grading system. This includes both jazz and classical grades with most students achieving merits or above.

I also teach in a slightly more relaxed way where the student isn`t interested in doing exams, this usually means learning your favourite pop songs and how to create effective piano arrangements of them. A lot of this is learning about chords & chord structure but it is surprising how quickly you can start to play your favourite songs with little prior experience of the piano.

Whether it be learning by ear or the more structured route of learning to read music & taking exams I have a lot of experience and I`m comfortable teaching in both these different ways whilst making lessons fun & relaxed. My teaching style is laid back with emphasis on the student enjoying the piano & wanting to practice through learning in a way that encourages them to play.

About me... I have been working as a professional piano/keyboard player for 12 years. I have worked as a session player for developing artists for major labels & management companies throughout my 20`s, now 35 I am the touring keyboard player for The Milk. I have done numerous sessions on mainstream radio & have toured the UK & abroad extensively. I write music for media and have a handful of big corporate clients I have written for on radio & online. I also do a lot of solo work as a jazz pianist for functions & corporate events, I have an a long list of corporate clients who regularly book me.
