Information about Sreya

Hi! I am a 4th year Medical student at Imperial College London. I have lots of experience teaching students ranging from the age of 11, to the age of 18. Studying Medicine requires a lot of motivation and focused learning. I know how difficult the GCSE and A Level years can be, and I would love to pass on some techniques that I have learnt over the years to some younger students, in the hope that they find it much easier!

I am an enthusiastic and friendly Medical student with lots of experience. Looking for students who need help in achieving their full potential and top marks!

I believe that each student has their own style of learning and that`s why I`ll tailor my sessions so they are very specific to you. I love to change my style of teaching according to the student, use visual aids, and present everything clearly and logically to ensure a solid understanding. I can also provide advice on how to take notes effectively and revise productively, as I have read books on this topic; some of these techniques have become very popular amongst many Year 12 and 13 students whom I used to teach at school.

During the sessions, we will set out specific goals to make sure everything is covered. I appreciate that some concepts can be difficult to grasp, and I will happily spend more time on these to make sure students can gain a deeper understanding of any topics. I also believe that exam technique is very important, and I will encourage students to answer questions, providing guidance when needed. At the end of the sessions, I will ask students what they would like to learn next time so that I can prepare in advance, and obviously any questions and other concerns are welcome throughout the whole tutorial!

Availability: As I am studying from home at the moment, I am quite flexible with timings.

I am free every day of the week. Please let me know what is most convenient for you and we can come up with a schedule that suits both of us!

Please message me if you have any questions; I will try to reply within a few hours.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: Teaching has been a passion of mine since Year 8 when I started to tutor students at school. I went on to open my own Science Club, lead educational sessions for disadvantaged primary school children, and tutor younger students. I was also Deputy Head Girl, and part of many singing groups. This taught me to use my studying time productively. Currently, I teach students of all ages from China who aspire to come to the UK to carry on their studies. I also teach medicine and clinical practical skills to younger medical students, and I am a mentor for medical students from multiple universities across the UK. I love interacting with new people, and being able to help somebody understand new content is always very rewarding.

I sat my GCSEs, A Levels, the UKCAT and BMAT, and also took interviews for medical school. I am confident to teach Biology (at GCSE and A Level standard) and Maths (at GCSE standard) and can help with exam technique. Any Medical School applicants needing help with personal statement, or interview preparation are also welcome.

Most of all, I am friendly and teach in quite a relaxed way so students can feel comfortable and not be afraid to ask questions.
