I have just graduated with a 1st class master`s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manchester. Even at university level, I’m still required to use many of the mathematical concepts learned at A level and below. Having achieved an A* in Maths and A in Further Maths at A level only a few years ago, I have recent experience of what it takes to get the top grades.

Experience: I have several years of tutoring experience at GCSE and A level, helping students to surpass their predicted grades. I enjoy Maths and hope this comes across in my teaching!
In the past, I have found it effective to plan a bespoke lesson for each student depending on their individual needs by talking through their specific requirements beforehand. In each lesson I aim to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to help my students develop a deeper understanding of the subject. I believe this is crucial to excelling in mathematics and is unfortunately not always possible in a school classroom environment.
