I am someone who is passionate about teaching mathematics right from my youthful age and this directed my desire to study mathematics education at the University whilst still working, in pursuit of my honours and Masters in South Africa.

I have specialized in helping math anxiety and poorly motivated students to develop their interest in learning mathematics and eventually improve their attainment levels.

The intention for choosing this career path for my PhD was to develop my skills and knowledge of teaching mathematics in the most professional way and to eventually be a curriculum developer. The choice of topic for my research arose from a desire to understand how best to improve my practice in teaching mathematics in order to effectively influence my teaching of the subject and student learning.

This further led me to gain employment in a high school here in Rochester Grammar as a Mathematics teacher for Years 7 to 10. This I started in September 2021, and has endowed me much knowledge ad skills in teaching the subject and helping the risk averse students in mathematics.

Experience: I have always been a mathematics teacher at the secondary and tertiary level for over 14years, right from 2008 when I finished my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). I have had relationship with different learning styles of students in the field of mathematics.

My passion has been to help students with math anxiety, poor motivation and problem skills to develop their interests in the subject and perform well in mathematics.

I taught students within the ages of 13 years to 17years in the secondary and tertiary institutions, and their average performance have improved overtime.
