Having spent my earlier years in both the military and in the construction industry I obtained my degree and Qualified teacher status later in life(42) and therefore I have been teaching Physics both GCSE and A-Level for the past 9 Years.

I started teaching at a very high achieving school in Telford before moving to the secondary school that I went to as a child, I was there for 7 years before deciding to focus on my A-Level Physics and Engineering teaching. I worked at college for a couple of years teaching A-Level Physics, Btec Engineering and Btec Applied Science

I have worked for the Institute of Physics helping to improve the standard of physics teaching across the Wolverhampton region.

Availability: I am now semi-retired and enjoy focusing on one to one and small group tutoring. I am available during the day and most weekends.

Experience: I have spent the first 7 years working as a specialist teacher of physics in a couple of Secondary schools teaching all key stages. I have also worked for the institute of physics for 2 years as a school based development coach (helping to develop and improve the teaching practices of many teacher across the Wolverhampton region).
I have now moved to a Further Education college where I specialise in A-Level physics, I am also an examiner for physics, engineering and maths for various exam boards and have been since I started teaching. This has given me insight into the examination process which is helping to inform my practice.
