I am passionate about language teaching and learning and spur my students on to fulfil their linguistic potential. I brought my (now adult) children to be bilingual and all of them now speak a third language.
I have dual nationality and have just completed a five year stint as Curriculum Leader for MFL in an International school in Saudi Arabia.
I am an extremely patient practitioner and can tailor lesson content according to my tutee`s particular requirements, be they for professional advancement or exam board specific.
I listen attentively and am told I am very approachable.

Availability: From November 6th 2019 I can be available with a great deal of flexibility - daytime/evenings/weekends.

Experience: I have matured 4 decades of teaching experience, specialising in French, Italian and English for Speakers of Other languages. I have been an examiner for Edexcel, am a fully-fledged Evaluation Team Member for CIS and of my most recent GCSE cohort (2019), 75% achieved grades 7-9 in French and 100% were awarded grade 9 in Italian. I have been a Curriculum Leader for 17 years, on both national and international platforms. I attend regular training sessions for GCSE and A level delivery in French and Italian in order to keep my teaching relevant.
In the 2018-19 academic year I tutored 30 ESOL pupils in small groups in order to help them improve their English language. I have an honours degree in International Communications, a post-graduate Diploma in Translation and an M.A. in Management.
