As an aspiring engineering entrepreneur, I grasp every opportunity that comes my way and teaching is something that has been at the forefront of this pursuit. Having lead many teams and worked with many individuals, I know how to identify their strong points and their weaknesses and strive to better everyone I work with to maximise their potential. I pride myself for being easily approachable and love seeing grow and achieve their goals.
My approach to tutoring is as follows:
1. Review of current skills and knowledge
2. Identify areas to improve
3. Advise upon a method to tackle identified areas
4. Plan each lesson in advance with specific goals and tasks due for the next
5. Set milestones and review progress
Availability: Weekday evenings and Weekends!
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: Tutoring in Mathematics and Physics (Scottish and English Systems) for 4 years.
Tutoring in Electronics for 2 years.
Experience in all levels and age groups, primary, secondary, university and adult learners.
Experience and achievements that support my tutoring:
1. Complete and achieved several awards at in the Kumon Maths and English programs. Moving quickly to teaching and management.
2. First in the UK in the British Physics Olympiad Experimental Project 2016 and Silver in 2015
3. Gold Crest award and Nuffield Placement Award for 12-week research placement at Edinburgh University in Wireless Power Transfer for Pace Makers
4. 2nd in the UK in the ESERO UKCANSAT competition held at the STEM York center.
5. Highly commended during a 3 Month Internship at Jaguar Land Rover in Vehicle Feedback Systems developing custom software tools used by over 2000 employees.
