I`m a highly experienced tutor both as a private tutor and as a classroom teacher. I am currently employed as a secondary maths teacher with additional responsibilities regarding training teachers and curriculum development. As a consequence I have a level of expertise in the GCSE curriculum and in particular stretching higher level students to obtain grade 7 8 and 9. As well as this I am an experienced tutor at both AS and A level. I am approachable and friendly but I like my sessions to be high intensity with the completion of large quantities of work. My emphasis is on teaching for understanding and I aim to ensure that pupils understand all material rather than remembering tricks and tips to enable them to reach their potential with the new and much more complicated specification

Experience: I have a high level of experience as a tutor. I have been tutoring GCSE mathematics for the past 8 years. I also have 5 years of experience as a classroom teacher. My particular expertise is getting students high levels and my other area of expertise is ensuring that pupils understand rather than just learn tips and tricks.
