Friendly, non-judgemental and patient tutor, with more than ten years of teaching experience in various professional and voluntary capacities, living between Marseille and Scotland. I have two Masters degrees, and a Bachelors degree but, probably more importantly, I have many years of experience of working with diverse groups of people (both school age and older) to help them achieve their learning goals. I`m well organised, broadly knowledgable about curriculum and academic expectations and flexible to students with a lower budget.

Experience: I have a 2:1 in Philosophy (MA) which I gained in 2011 from the University of Glasgow. During this degree I studied English Literature, Religion and Philosophy. I have a Masters (MSc) in Material Histories and Cultures of the Book from the University of Edinburgh which I gained in 2012. This degree was across multiple disciplines within the schools of history and literature. In 2020 I finished an Open University Degree (Ba) which was an Open Degree, but primarily in English Literature.

Professionally, for the last 11 years I have worked as a historical and cultural tourguide in multiple countries in Europe, leading historical tours of cities and countries for secondary school students and their teachers. Since it has been hard to work because of COVID, I have been giving history "tours" online, some of which are linked at the bottom of my profile. In my professional life I have done a great deal of academic and school level proofreading and am up-to-date with contemporary referencing and stylistic requirements for academic work.

In my extra-professional life I have been involved broadly in community work for many years, working often with people whose first language is not English, helping them with administrative work and accessing services and social rights, work which has taught me the value of patience. I am a fluent French speaker (my French accredited to DALF C1, with high scores).
