Hi,
I am Josh. As a graduate in English Literature and a private tutor teaching Maths and English, I am passionate about imparting my knowledge onto others and instilling a love for reading in my students. I believe education is not just about passing exams- though that is evidently important- but also about cultivating a sense of enjoyment.

As such, I always attempt to make my lessons as fun as possible, as I believe that if the student is enjoying the process of learning they are more likely to be receptive to and take on board what you are teaching them. From creating my own top trumps on a murder mystery module I taught during my teacher training year, to designing board games and much more, I am always willing to go the extra mile when it comes to providing engaging resources for my students.

I think I am a very approachable, friendly and good-humoured tutor who is able to build a rapport with my students quite quickly and to relate to them.

Availability: Thursday- Evening (5pm-8pm)
Friday- Available all day.
Saturday- Available all day.
Sunday- Available all day.

During the summer months I will be available more frequently as the schools are broken up.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: I have a degree in English Literature and I have finished a large part of my teacher training to be become an English teacher at secondary school. I am currently working as a private tutor in Maths and English for Creative in Learning and occasionally as a supply teacher in local schools.
