I am very friendly, experienced and particularly adept at building confidence in students of all ages. I like to find out the interests of the student I am tutoring in order to tailor my sessions to be as enjoyable and directly impactful as possible. I think it is equally as important to encourage a love of learning and confidence in my students as it is to meet academic goals.

I graduated from the University of York with a BA in English and Related Literature (which included Italian Language and Literature) and then went on to gain an MA in Text and Performance with Distinction from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Birkbeck.

I work in independent and state schools across the UK as a freelance speaker and workshop leader and have experience preparing students for secondary school, drama school and university application processes.

I am a playwright and have founded a theatre company where I was artistic director for two years. I have had plays produced in London, Edinburgh and most recently New York.

Availability: I am flexible and willing to work around you where possible.

I can offer a discounted rate for students who are willing to meet at my home instead of needing me to travel to them.

Experience: I have nine years experience working with students aged 7-18 as well as three years experience private tutoring one-on-one at Primary, GCSE and A Level.

I also have experience running workshops and leading talks and presentations in secondary schools and colleges. I currently work at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art part time and travel all over the UK delivering PSHE workshops and presentations to 14 - 18 year old students.
