I am a qualified English teacher with 10 years` experience, graded outstanding. I also have several years` experience as a tutor, home-school teacher, and examiner for AQA and Cambridge International.
I provide customised learning plans for GCSE;; AS/A Level;; KS1/KS2/Primary;; KS3/pre-GCSE;; Resits;; 11+;; iGCSE;; CV/correspondence/UCAS application editing & proof-reading.
English Literature, Language, combined, Media and EAL.
Additional subjects: History, German, Math.
10 years` experience as a Qualified Outstanding Teacher of English and Media.
8 years experience as an examiner.
2:1 BA Hons English Literature and Creative Writing.

Sarah is tutoring my son for his 11+ English preparation now. She is very patient and able to engage my son to learn. Her knowledge and teaching approach focus on his understanding and achieving learning outcomes. We are so pleased of her tutoring. Highly recommend!

Sarah is an excellent teacher who immediately connected with my son providing expert advice, motivation and confidence. He is more inclined towards maths and science subjects and found English Language and Literature quite hard. Sarah quickly assessed his strengths and weaknesses and with only a few weeks of preparation before his GCSE exams produced targeted resources to help with his exam technique. A really nice touch was they would both attempt past paper questions together under timed conditions and then compare and discuss their individual responses at the end. This really helped him get inside the head of the examiner and to discover where marks are lost and gained. His results speak for themselves - English Language A*, English Literature A. Highly recommended.
