I have over twenty years` experience teaching and tutoring GCSE and A Level English. I am an examiner for a major exam board. I also have training and experience in SEN. My tutoring style involves close work on exam-style questions in a relaxed and friendly one-one or small group
environment (face-to-face or online). I incorporate interactive technology where useful in lessons and provide learning materials for students. I love my subject and thoroughly enjoy working with young people to help them achieve the best they possibly can in their English qualifications.

students, from age 14 to adults. This includes teaching GCSE

which provides me with detailed insight into the use of mark
schemes and exam technique. Training and experience in teaching
students with neurodiverse learning needs has fostered an empathy
with students who respond to learning styles and strategies tailored
to their specific needs.
