Simon

I am an experienced French teacher and former Head of Modern Languages with over 20 years’ teaching experience in leading independent and international schools in the UK, Europe and China.

I have taught French from beginner level through to GCSE and A level and have a strong record of helping pupils achieve excellent examination results. I am familiar with AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge specifications and can provide focused support with grammar, writing, speaking, listening, literature and examination technique.

I particularly enjoy working with pupils who have lost confidence or are finding French difficult. I aim to identify exactly where the difficulties lie, explain things clearly and give pupils the structure and encouragement they need to make progress.

My approach is patient, supportive and highly structured, and I aim to help pupils make progress while rebuilding confidence in the subject.

Whether a student needs regular tuition, examination preparation or help with a particular area of French, lessons are tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Availability: I currently have good availability during both weekdays and evenings and can usually offer considerable flexibility. Please get in touch to discuss a time that works for you.
