My name is Lee-Ann and I am an energetic and engaging
teacher. My experience varies from teaching ESL in China for 3 years, to acquiring my PGCE and working in various mainstream and SEN schools. I also private tutored for 2
years in China.
I am an adaptable teacher that believes in meeting the needs of each student I teach. I
create an accepting, supportive, understanding, engaging and fun environment for the
students to not only secure their learning but also support their mental health.

While doing my course, I learnt about the national curriculum. When planning lessons, I refer to the NC to ensure my lessons are aligned with the NC points. I also teach my
lessons to myself to ensure they are accessible and engaging.

I am available for ONLINE classes Only.
My focus as a teacher is always to work at the pace of the student and up-level based on their learning level. I never pressure my students, but instead encourage through breaking down the steps and using various methods and resources to ensure they not only understand but can explain it back to me.

As an online tutor, my lessons will be individualised based on each student following an initial trial lesson to determine their learning levels and any gaps that needs to be filled. Each student will need to have access to a laptop with a camera, audio and good Internet connection as well as stationery such as pen, paper, pencil, etc.
If they require further resources, these will be sent via email or post, whichever is most convenient for the parents.

Availability: I am available on weekends only through ONLINE teaching!

Experience: 3 years as an ESL teacher in primary school in China.
2 years private tutoring in Shenzhen, China. (1-1, small groups and whole classes.)
1 year PGCE which included 3 mainstream school placements and 1 SEN placement.
Final placement, I was the acting class teacher for 12 weeks.
Currently working with councils to get SEN children who have been out of education for a while back into school through exposing them to various communication techniques including PECs, emotional regulation, behaviour plans, learning and routine before working with schools to ensure a smooth transition.
I also work part time as a nanny to 2 amazing girls that I cook for and engagement in various arts and crafts, games and outings.
