Hi, I`m a 26 year old PhD student originally from Leicestershire. I moved to Liverpool in 2013 to study Chemistry with Nanotechnology and began a PhD here about 3 years ago. I`ll be finishing my PhD over the course of this year and hopefully moving into a research or industrial position.
I have many years of experience both tutoring and teaching. I have taught everything from GCSE to A-Level.
What I believe makes me stand out is that I was originally a failed A-Level student, I lacked motivation and strategy for studying and completely turned myself around. I now have publications in internationally renowned journals, and even teach at an undergraduate level. I really like to emphasise understanding in my teaching, as I believe that a strong core of understanding can make the learning experience `click` more.
However, that is not to say I don`t value a bit of memorisation here and there to underpin key concepts.
