Hi, I`m a fourth year medical student. I really enjoy working with students to help them feel more confident in their subjects. I got 9 for GCSE maths, biology, chemistry, physics and spanish and would love to help anyone that is struggling in those subjects. I got A*s in A Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths. In my UCAT I scored 2890, which was in the 92nd percentile and I also got a Band 1 for the situational judgement test. I appreciate medicine application can me a daunting process so more than happy to help with that as well.

Availability: I`m available weekday evenings and weekends.

Experience: I have tutored other students from year 3 up until year 13 and also tutored my peers at GCSE and A level so far. I also teach Sunday School at my local church. I believe that tutoring should be individualised to the needs of individual students and so I do not take a blanket approach with tutoring and I prefer to discuss with my students to arrange a plan of support ideal to them. What I usually do is working 1 topic behind what they do at school and consolidating exam technique on those topics and revising them together or another way, to is teach ahead of the syllabus so when they cover it in school it will be like revision for the student. I usually explain topics using diagrams and examples and by teaching handy mnemonics to aid retention and recollection. I appreciate that the medical application process can be daunting so I am more than happy to help with that! I am happy to offer support with the UCAT, personal statement and interview prep :) I got offers from both the Russel group universities I applied to (Sheffield and Nottingham) and also I got an offer from HYMS and Leicester.
