Italian and Spanish
Information about Emma
I am a self-employed private language tutor in beginner Spanish and Italian and a recent graduate of Spanish and Italian.
I have a big passion for languages (I`m currently trying to learn Mandarin!) and in my spare time I attend and host language exchange events in Nottingham. (Pre-lockdown)
I love teaching languages and I love passing on my passion to others.
Availability: I am generally free in the mornings and day time. Some of my current students have fixed time slots each week and some arrange the lesson times every week, so I am very flexible with lesson times.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am a self-employed language tutor. I have taught beginner Spanish to a group of 6-8 British students (ages 21-23) for 5 months, along with GCSE French help. I currently teach private lessons in beginner Spanish, beginner Italian, beginner French, and English at all levels. I teach both 1-1 and couples.
For 6 months I have been a volunteer English language teacher at a Nottingham Library, teaching intermediate English as a foreign language to groups of 15-20 people.
I try to simplify grammar so that it is easy to understand and I provide the student plenty of practice opportunities with each new grammar element and allow them to incorporate the use into more everyday language which is tailored around the student`s life and interests.
I use whiteboards to make the lessons more interactive, and I have lots of language-learning games and activities to make the learning process more fun. After the lessons I send the student the lesson so that they can go over what they have learnt, and I send extra activities and information if they want it.
