Information about Raquel
If there is something that can be highlighted from my CV, is my versatility. I have done a bit of everything in my life from working in a shoe factory to working as a Food Technology teacher.
I have a M.A. in teacher training to teach Spanish as a foreign language from the Cervantes Institute, a degree in History of Art, a QTS and a DBS for adults and children. My classes would not only be interesting but also fun.
I love gardening, cooking and reading. And all this knowledge together with my dedication to this new job, would hopefully make the classes more enjoyable.
I am open minded and flexible and I will adapt to your rhythm in the class. The last two years I have been working as a teacher with Special Needs students but the circumstances have left me with no work and no income so I have decided to dedicate myself to this.
I can teach any level and any age although, at the moment, I would prefer to start with basic and medium levels and progress from there.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have three months of experience in private tutor classes teaching Spanish with two different students. One student had A1.1 level and the other A1.2. We followed a book as I did not have time to prepare every class. I was also working as a full time teacher with Special Needs Students.
As part of my Master I taught Spanish for one month in the Cervantes Institute for a group of 12 adult students. My responsibility included planning the class, sending it to my tutor and reviewing if necessary. Then I delivered the classes and had a self-assessment with my tutor.
Last year I helped preparing an autistic student for his A level in Spanish.
I also have a year experience teaching English to children between 3 and 9 years old in after school classes in Spain. And I had a tutor class with an adult student learning English.
I believe I could be the teacher you need. This would be my only job so I would be fully dedicated to prepare your classes.
